Closing the gap between actual and expected outcomes in ABA service delivery
"Continuous improvement is in our DNA"

Parity means equality. In the context of NASQN, we use parity to mean equality between actual and expected outcomes. Achieving parity in ABA service delivery involves creating conditions in which actual outcomes align with expected outcomes, ensuring that all services provided yield consistent, high-quality results as envisioned by evidence-based standards and client needs.

Key Elements of Achieving Parity in ABA Service Delivery:

  1. Equality in Service Outcomes:

    • Ensuring that all clients receive services that deliver outcomes equal to the expected results, regardless of variables like geographic location, provider, or financial constraints.

  2. Standardization of Practices:

    • Implementing evidence-based procedures and quality assurance measures across all providers to minimize variability and align outcomes with established benchmarks.

  3. Accountability to Quality Metrics:

    • Using measurable indicators of quality (e.g., skill acquisition rates, reduction in challenging behaviors, satisfaction surveys) to identify and bridge gaps between actual performance and expected results.

  4. Equitable Access to Resources:

    • Providing practitioners and organizations with the tools, training, and support needed to achieve expected outcomes consistently.

  5. Continuous Improvement:

    • Leveraging quality assurance practices to identify disparities in service delivery and systematically closing those gaps through data-driven decision-making.

Importance of Achieving Parity:

The concept of achieving parity is fundamental to NASQN’s mission because it promotes the fundamental right of every recipient of ABA services to experience meaningful, measurable improvements. By eliminating the gap between actual and expected outcomes, NASQN can help elevate the overall quality and reliability of ABA services, fostering greater trust, satisfaction, and effectiveness across the field.
