That’s why we are thrilled to introduce Dr. Aarti Thakore, our new Webinar Coordinator, who will be leading NASQN’s efforts to expand high-quality, research-driven webinars for the ABA community.


With an impressive 20-year career spanning psychology, early childhood development, autism, and behavior analysis, Aarti brings a wealth of clinical, academic, and research expertise to this role. Her passion for teaching, training, and interdisciplinary collaboration will be instrumental in creating meaningful learning experiences for ABA professionals nationwide.


Aarti Thakore: A Behavioral Scientist & Clinician Committed to Quality ABA


Aarti holds a PhD in Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, where she also earned a master’s degree specializing in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Currently serving as the Director of Clinical Research at the Central Texas Autism Center, she works to bridge clinical practice with empirical research, collaborating with professionals and researchers to produce high-quality behavioral research and clinical outcomes.


Her research interests include:


📌 Advancing Skinner’s Analysis of Verbal Behavior – Exploring its application in early childhood learning and language development across cultures.


📌 Evaluating the Role of Motivation – Understanding choice-making and learned behaviors across diverse populations.


📌 Culturally Responsive, Trauma-Informed Care – Identifying effective methods to prevent severe problem behaviors before they emerge.


📌 Expanding Radical Behaviorism – Exploring how machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) can broaden the scope of behavioral science.

In addition to her clinical research and consulting, Aarti is deeply passionate about mentorship, staff training, and making complex behavioral concepts accessible for practitioners at every level. Her goal? To demystify behavioral science and learning processes so ABA professionals can apply them more efficiently and effectively in practice.





Expanding ABA Professional Development at NASQN


As NASQN’s Webinar Coordinator, Aarti will take the lead in creating, curating, and standardizing webinar-based professional development to equip ABA professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to advance quality in ABA services. 


Her work aligns directly with NASQN’s Action Plan for American ABA, ensuring that professional development opportunities:


✔ Strengthen Practitioner Preparation – By offering value-based training webinars, Aarti will help ABA professionals move beyond passive CEUs and develop real-world competencies in quality assurance, clinical decision-making, and evidence-based practice.


✔ Support Workforce Sustainability – High-quality training can reduce burnout and turnover by ensuring behavior analysts feel competent, confident, and supported in their work.


✔ Empower Small ABA Businesses – Many smaller ABA organizations lack access to structured professional development programs. NASQN’s webinars will bridge this gap, offering cost-effective, high-impact training to providers of all sizes.


✔ Prioritize ABA Service Quality in Research & Practice – Aarti’s commitment to clinical research and data-driven decision-making will ensure NASQN’s webinars align with best practices and the latest findings in behavioral science.





✔ Unlock Access to High-Quality ABA for All Americans – Through accessible, culturally responsive training, NASQN will continue to equip practitioners to deliver high-quality services to diverse populations across the country.


What’s Ahead: Aarti’s Goals for NASQN’s Webinar Series


Aarti is hitting the ground running, and over the next 12 months, she will be rolling out a structured, high-quality webinar program designed to educate, inspire, and empower ABA professionals at all levels.


📌 Launching NASQN’s Monthly Webinar Series – Within six months, Aarti will execute two consecutive months of live webinars, followed by a three-month expansion of scheduled monthly topics. By the one-year mark, NASQN will have a fully established professional development webinar calendar.


📌 Building a Dedicated Webinar Team – Within four months, Aarti will assemble a team of two new professional members to contribute to webinar planning, speaker recruitment, and content development.

📌 Standardizing Webinar Quality & Best Practices – Aarti will propose a policy and set of webinar standards and benchmarks to the NASQN Executive Team within nine months, ensuring that all webinars align with NASQN’s commitment to excellence.


📌 Bringing Professional Development to NASQN’s Store – Within three months, Aarti will introduce NASQN-branded professional development-themed merchandise, giving members the opportunity to support NASQN’s mission while celebrating their professional growth.





📌 Promoting Professional Development Across Social Media – Within two months, Aarti will roll out a three-week promotional campaign on NASQN’s social media platforms using #NASQN, expanding the visibility of NASQN’s new webinar and training initiatives.

When she’s not leading research-driven training initiatives, Aarti enjoys practicing yoga, exploring wildlife, and taking road trips to National Parks with her family. Her passion for behavior science, commitment to culturally responsive learning, and expertise in professional development make her an invaluable addition to NASQN’s leadership team.


We are thrilled to have her on board and can’t wait to see NASQN’s webinar series grow under her leadership!
