Turning Point Continued...The Second Step is to Treat ABA Autism Service Organizations as a Total Performance Systems, and Map Out Processes that Impact Quality
The concept of the organization as a total performance system can help quality managers and engineers deal with the extraordinary complexity of building a quality assurance system in an ABA autism service organization[1].
Brethower (1982) conceptualized total performance systems as comprised of seven components: (1) inputs; (2) a processing system: (3) processing system feedback; (4) outputs; (5) a receiving system; (6) receiving system feedback; and (7) mission/goal; and later (8) the environment and (9) competition were added by Diener et al (2009) which in the current paper are conceptualized as extra-organizational influences on product and service quality.
