NASQN's Leadership and Initiatives Expand

ABA Quality Help Desk Subject Matter Expert - Introducing Anne Metzger

At NASQN, we believe that quality in ABA starts with access to the right resources—clear, effective, and evidence-based tools that help behavior analysts deliver the highest standard of care. That’s why we’re thrilled to welcome Adriana "Adie" Anderson, BCBA as NASQN’s Director of Resource Development and Production, and the future of networking workgroups!

With a deep passion for research, staff training, and quality assurance, Adie brings a unique blend of clinical expertise, academic leadership, and a commitment to innovation that will propel NASQN’s resource development initiatives forward.

A Leader in Research, Training, and Quality Assurance

Adie is a BCBA based in San Diego, California, where she works as a Clinical Case Manager and Associate Researcher at Easterseals Southern California. She earned her Master’s degree in Special Education with an emphasis in Autism from San Diego State University, where she worked with Sabrina Daneshvar, and she is currently a doctoral student at Endicott College under the advisement of Dr. Jill Harper.

Beyond her impressive academic and clinical work, Adie serves as an adjunct professor at National University and Endicott College, where she supports course development and advances the education of future behavior analysts.

Her research passions include:

📌 Staff training and fidelity of implementation – ensuring behavior analysts have the skills and training necessary to deliver high-quality interventions.

📌 Decision-making in performance assessment and functional analysis – helping practitioners enhance clinical decision-making with strong visual analysis and quality appraisal tools.

📌 Developing resources that promote ABA service quality – translating research into real-world tools that practitioners can apply immediately in their settings.

The Future of Resource Development at NASQN

As Director of Resource Development and Production, Adie is taking on an ambitious roadmap that will expand NASQN’s library of high-quality resources and streamline the development and approval process for new workgroup-generated products. Over the next year, she will be:

✔ Publishing Workgroup Aggregate Products – Within six months, Adie will oversee the production and publication of a workgroup-developed resource for NASQN members. Within 12 months, she will publish a second workgroup product and establish at least three ongoing new first- or second-generation workgroups.

✔ Establishing a Structured Review & Approval Process – Adie will lead efforts to streamline the way NASQN screens, refines, approves, and publishes workgroup products for publication and release to members and nonmembers alike. In the next nine months, she will develop a formal policy and process for review that will ensure all NASQN resources meet the highest standards of accuracy, utility, and accessibility.

✔ Launching a Review and Approval Team – Within four months, Adie will hold the first meeting of NASQN’s new Resource Development and Production l Team, comprised of at least two NASQN members who will provide expert oversight of NASQN’s resource development.

✔ Strengthening Special Interest Groups (SIGs) – To support ongoing workgroups, Adie will establish a SIG dedicated to each active workgroup on NASQN’s member platform, ensuring that members can collaborate, share insights, and contribute to resource development.

✔ Expanding NASQN’s Resource Visibility – Within the first two months of her role, Adie will lead a social media campaign promoting resource development, ensuring that NASQN members stay informed and engaged. She will also introduce NASQN-branded resource development-themed merchandise for sale, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to equipping behavior analysts with the tools they need to succeed.

With Adie at the helm, NASQN’s resource development efforts will be more structured, impactful, and aligned with best practices in ABA quality assurance.

Welcome, Adie!

When she’s not developing amazing ABA resources, Adie enjoys watching football (both American and UK versions!) and has a deep appreciation for Whitney Houston’s legendary music. Her ability to blend passion, research, and practicality makes her the perfect fit to lead NASQN’s Resource Development and Production efforts.

We are honored to have her on board, and we can’t wait to see how her expertise and leadership will help shape the future of ABA resources at NASQN!
